My New Kitchen Photoshoot ♥

For my whole life I have always wanted a kitchen with white cabinets and a black and white checkered floor.

I have never decorated using this much color...

I painted these canisters as soon as I found out we got the house. I really love the clashing aqua and red.

Some of my vintage aqua canning jars, and part of my nutcracker collection.

If you click the photo above, you can see my "I love you more than Bacon" sign. My parents got it for me for Christmas.

Ha! I painted the dish drainer too!! Hot pink, aqua, and red.

I love, love, love all the little shelves and cubbies all over the room.

It may be tacky, but I put my pink Candylights in the kitchen.

Before and After

Here is my latest project... Thought I'd share some before and after photos.

The outside is the prettiest shade of pale pink.

I painted the inside a darker shade of pink, so it looks gorgeous when you open it up.

New House

This is the new house we are moving to. It is right on the Housatonic River. It is on just under 2 acres. One huge section of the yard on the side of the house is fenced in, so it's perfect for kids, animals, chickens...

The upstairs is a finished attic with bay window and window seats. I think these 2 rooms will be my craft rooms and storage for all my shop items.

It has a huge back porch that wraps around the house.

This is the living room and giant fireplace.

This is the front porch.

The kitchen is perfect. White cabinets... black and white checkered floor. I am going to decorate it in aqua, red, and pink... a little brighter than what I usually do.

IT HAS A LIBRARY!!! You have no idea how happy and excited this makes me! I finally have someplace to put all my books.

And the dining room walls are wallpapered with vintage Rolling Stone magazine covers. There are 2 built in china hutches in the dining room and huge picture windows covering one whole wall overlooking the Housatonic River.

I'm dreaming of a White (and Pink) Christmas

Going with a pink and white theme this year... at least I'm hoping to. Since I'm the only girl in the house, the boys are objecting.

These gorgeous grapevine wreaths add just the right amount of shabby chic, and the right amount of sparkle.

...and this fireplace chandelier is just perfect with chandelier crystals draped all over and the pink rose ornament on the front.

Aren't these the cutest little French book bundles. They are antique books all in French. They are perfect for shabby chic, farmhouse, or Paris apartment home decor. I think they would make adorable little Christmas gifts.

I found so many Treasures this week I just had to show them off.

I just found this gorgeous chenille bedspread. It is the most beautiful butter yellow and white, very plush. I love it. I just listed it in my Etsy shop.

This is one of my fireplace chandeliers. You can put it in your fireplace when you aren't using it... It can also double as a gorgeous centerpiece on your dining room table.

Wouldn't this candelabra and salt and pepper shakers make the most beautiful Shabby Chic Thanksgiving table??

Peanut Butter Cup Pie

Sharing this yummmmy looking recipe from: Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice
Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie
Ingredients
Crust:
2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
Filling:
12 ounces cream cheese (light or neufchatel is ok), at room temperature
1 + 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy cream
Topping:
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup semi-sweet or milk chocolate chips or bar, chopped
4 tablespoons salted butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
14 Reese's peanut butter cups, rough chopped

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add the cookie crumbs and butter to a food processor and process until combined, scraping down the sides of the bowl if needed.
Press evenly into a 9" pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes then allow to cool completely before filling.
Beat the cream cheese and peanut butter together on medium speed until light and fluffy about 5 minutes.
Add sugar and vanilla; beat on medium speed until light and fluffy about 5 more minutes.
In a separate bowl beat heavy cream until stiff; when the beater is lifted it shouldn't drip off.
Add the cream to the peanut butter mixture and fold in until well blended. Spoon into the crust. Refrigerate 1-2 hours.
To make the topping combine sugar and cream in a small saucepan and bring just to a boil; remove from heat and immediately add the chocolate, butter and vanilla. Whisk until smooth and all the chocolate is melted. Cool the mixture until it is lukewarm but still liquidy.
Carefully pour over the pie (you can leave a few spoonfuls for drizzling over the PB cups) and evenly spread from edge to edge. Sprinkle peanut butter cups evenly over top and gently press them into the chocolate. Drizzle lightly all over with remaining chocolate.
Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Cut with a sharp knife dipped in hot water then dried; wipe clean and dip again after each cut.
